They'll name a city after us and later say it's all our fault

Not really in the mood for a sum up of my week, so here's the poetry version.

"I imagine we both struggle, questions looming deep in our hearts
The whys, the whens and the hows of the world
My shoulders hunched, as if I could hide my heart so broken
Thoughts swimming, floating everywhere
A gaze cutting through the air like a knife
We are now in pieces, scattered all over, like lost words of a story that once was whole
I touch your back gently, my hands cold and numb, and feel you trembling in fear
Was it something we could have prevented?
Like a car crash into non-existence, hell bent on a mission of destruction
We were once so beautiful
Where were those airbags when we hit the wall?
Tainted and wounded we crawl into rooms of fleeting comforts
Killing hope at every corner, blind to what is, and convinced it isn't
I drink in your desire, you feed off my passion
But hands are tied, arrows poisoned by betrayal and laced with death
We are sinking into oblivion and nothing else exists
How did we get here, how did we do it, and how will the road end?
I reach out and touch your shattered soul, my energy draining out of me and into you
One day I will be able to say it was worth it, that I wouldn't have had it any other way
But for now all we are is broken, a million fragments of a story with no ending
A love so deep it can mend all wounds, and kill our spirits
Our fingertips touch, sparks fly and we say goodbye
Words floating, dancing in the air, bittersweet smiles
Heavy hearts grasping for hope, on a balmy night, two hearts break all over again.."

I'm too drunk to make any sense.

Belladonna Anodyne

Leopard Nails

Found a wicked little tutorial via fuckyeahprettynails via Karen.

Currently obsessed with Anno Birkin. I have never read poetry like his, devastatingly beautiful and melancholic.. and to think he was only 21 when he died. Way too soon. [And yes, he is also from that Birkin family.]

I really need his book.

Anodyne

Tearing down the air again,
trying to find a stare that's faint and haunted;
teased and taunted mind recedes -
diseased and out of fiction.

Belladonna anodyne, fill my blood and fill my world with lust ...
Roses sunk in cyanide, thrown aside and blown back by the wind ...
Do you see the ...
sinners drinking iodine, to cleanse their dreams and
rid their minds of thought?

And I've seen her rise ... at times ... at night ... her majestic pupils cast,
and setting stars ... are hung ... above ... horizons where you are.

Hot to touch and out of breath,
lost for words, it's best I just stay silent.

Upped inside and on the rise, I found a little low.

Do you feel these roots, so weak?
I'm paranoid,
and fear of rain has left a joy in storms ...

And in their eyes ... at times ... at night ... see the light of sudden stars,
etched in sand ... I'm walking on horizons where I stand ...

high on her eyes ...
high and I rise,

over the land......................................
