VOGUE - The Shape Issue
I myself am a curvy girl, and over the years of living in the Philippines, where most women come in one size -- tiny --I have learned how to deal with the negative comments -- I ignore them. So when I saw these photos on Style.com featuring beautiful women in all shapes and sizes, women I love, I had to share.
I have friends who have weight issues and I wish for nothing more but for them to see how truly amazing and ravishing they all are, in their own unique way.
This is for you, beautiful! ♥
Artist Wangechi Mutu, sisters Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon, Grammy winner Adele, best friends Zoë Kravitz and Olivia Thirlby, designer (and girlfriend of Mick Jagger) L'Wren Scott, and model Doutzen Kroes shot by Annie Leibovitz for VOGUE.

i am a curvy filipino-american but that hasn't stopped my mom and grandma from making a few remarks. oh. well. i ignore them too :) great post.
Wow, yeah, it's great to see a variety of shapes for once. For real.
as a tiny girl myself, i'm always so envious of curvy ladies. ironically enough, i've gotten my fair share of negativity for my body as well. though, you have a beautiful figure and i can't imagine you getting made fun of for it!
yay for curvessss.
i rather be wearing size 4 than size 0. duh!

i adore the third and fourth pictures. i am so envious of curves, i dislike my 'up-and-down' body. but owell.
haha seriously all my friends when i was a wee kiddie felt the same way about Nick lol. ALL i would hear in the playyard was how insanely cute he was haha
Love the editorial, we really need the media to focus not only on ones size but ones HEALTH too. I know if people were not fixated so much i wouldn't have had a problem with my image for so many years when i was younger :( It was all i thought of and essentially i 'lost' those years. Nevermind now, since i'm more understanding about the situation but it stills pangs the heart thinking about it.
Anywhooo. MUAH MUAH! I'll be in-front when you open that store ;)
