Run through the moss on high heels..

When I grow up - Fever Ray

When I grow up
I want to be a forester
Run through the moss on high heels
That's what I'll do
Throwing out a boomerang
Waiting for it to come back to me

When I grow up
I want to live near the sea
Crab claws and bottles of rum
That's what I'll have
Staring at a seashell
Waiting for it to embrace me

I put my soul into what I do
Last night I drew a funny man
With dog eyes and a hanging tongue
It goes way back
I've never liked that sad look
From someone who wants to be loved by you

I'm very good with plants
When my friends are away
They let me keep the soil moist
On the seventh day I rest
For a minute or two
Then back on my feet to call for you

You've got cucumbers on your eyes
Too much time spent on nothing
Waiting for a moment to arise
The face in the ceiling
And arms too long
I'm waiting for him to catch me

PS: Ok, I tried my hardest not to repost this, but it is so good I could not resist it. Everyone is raving about this video, and what she is wearing, but I fell in love with the lyrics. Haunting is the only word to describe it. The song is absolutely lovely and the video oh so mesmerizing. If you love Bjork/Mandalay/Cocteau Twins/Lamb etc, you must check it out.

Video is in my sidebar. Told you I was obsessed. =)

PSS: I am so so so so grateful for all the wonderful comments I am getting for my last post. You all totally rock my socks.

omfg I love this song..! and yes, I'm a lyric girl, too.

jealous of your Santigold experience! imagine if you had worn the boots that got away from Baguio? it would've been a full circle situation :o

dane,

i am so coming with you to party when i head on over to bora! wow. santigold was there?! shet. she is a demigod. you can't imagine how often i loop "i'm a lady" and superman" in my ipod... i think its getting sick of it already. haha.

that said, i'm catching up with your previous posts... cool, cool blog. reading about the insecurity thing too... guess what, don't mind them. really. some people are just out destroying other's moods just cuz no one else would touch them with a ten-foot pole.:)

srsly, you gotta come back to cebu though. even for awhile. the fashion scene's getting better... last night i was at Loft's the Penthouse for like a summer fashion series, bottomless drinks, VIP'ing, young designers... can't go wrong.:)

what is your family restaurant btw? just curious!

i'm adding you as well.

much love

Never heard of this song before but I like it. I find what she's wearing a bit creepy actually...!

hank you for the sweet comment! Ahh I understand your hesitation about the creepers, I'm still undecided! Not sure if I can "work" them (Tyra Banks TM), haha. We'll see, we'll see. At least living in London means that I can wear a lot of weird things and I don't get funny looks (unlike Hong Kong).
