This song is not for you LOVERRRSS

This is how I am going to grow out my hair. Eventually.
To me, she is LEGENDARY.. I have the maddest girl-crush on her. Live on stage she is notorious for her crotch shots and frankly, I like a lady with no shame.

Not to mention her song "Tony the Beat" which has been my #1 kite song ever since it came out.

So this is permanence; love-shattered pride. What once was innocence, has turned on its side.

Control (2007). Story of Ian Curtis, front man of Joy Division. Not only is the cinematography beautiful in this movie, but Sam Riley, who played Curtis, looked eerily like the man he was playing - complete with the erratic dance moves of the singer. If you are a fan of Joy Division like I am, you will love this film.

To prove how inspiring the movie is, I took these still shots.. And now crave for a jacket with the word "HATE" written on the back of it. Yes, I'm totally feeling emo these days.

If Sam Riley looks familiar to you, it is probably because he (along with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) was the face of Burberry F/W 08-09.

And I knew without askin' she was into the blues..

Renegadelovers dress and studded belt

  • For a self proclaimed flower child, it is only natural for me to dedicate this post to the 40th Woodstock anniversary which is due in a few days. I suggest all you lovers spend the week in your most hippie inspired get-ups and listen to more The Grateful Dead, Janis and Jefferson Airplane. I myself will probably be dancing around the room in nothing more than a gypsy skirt and a feather headband while doing my twirls with Scarlet Begonias and White Rabbit on full blast.
  • Excited about watching Velvet Goldmine later.
  • Finally saw BRUNO yesterday. Clearly not a good movie to be watching over lunch.. but we laughed hysterically nonetheless.
  • I wasted tons of fabric last night attempting to make a romper.. maybe I should go back to making patterns? But math always makes me so dizzy.
  • A.Wang's bucket bag is everywhere.. I think I'm gonna muster up some courage and attempt something inspired by it.
  • This dress was inspired by something I found in the Kate Moss Style book.. and the belt is made out of leatherette and black garter and studs. I got impatient after not being able to find the perfect black waist belt.
  • The sun is calling me name so excuse me while I go and brave the heat, walk the beach and maybe allow myself some frozen yogurt..
How do you beat the heat? ♥

Lots of ♥♥♥ and

LADYHAWKE

Reasons why I her.
  • Her song Paris Is Burning has been used for Chanel and Topshop runway shows in 2008.
  • She refuses to wear women's clothing and instead dresses in boys and men's clothes.
  • I want her perfect hair.
  • Has the most amazing collection of vintage tees
  • Wears lots of plaid.
  • Loooooove her music.
  • I have always had a thing for androgynous female musicians.

Glasto LOVE

Going to Glasto is definitely in my top 10 of things to do before I die, just one step ahead of Coachella. Besides, that would give me a great excuse to finally visit my sister, who resides in the UK, no? Except I harbor a secret fear of loving Britain so much I might never wanna leave.. definitely a possibility there.

So for now here are some of the most amazing photos from Glastonbury.. If you attended, I am eternally envious.. well, until I make my way over there myself, that is.

My celeb faves were Pixie, Lily and Karen O. in the rainbow indian get-up.. beyond amazing.

♥♥♥

cheers!
