Eating soft ice cream, Coney Island queen..

This gets me even more excited about the summer! Goodbye boots, hello pedicures and flip-flops, popsicles and sunburns!

Every Color, Everyday: Live in Havaianas Color

Looking around, it’s amazing to see a world so full of color and life. But all too often, we don’t realize that we are even more colorful and vibrant than the world around us. To say we live rich lives is an understatement; and to say that we are defined by just one color is an injustice. From feeling blue one day to being tickled pink the next, each day adds another colorful brush stroke to the amazing painting that we are. And with Havaianas, you can live life in full color both inside and out.

Every Color, Everyday
Offering flip-flops in all the colors of the rainbow and then some, Havaianas understands that people live vividly hued lives. Human nature is dynamic, not static, and no one can be boxed in by just one color. As people live and love and move and act, they continue to add more layers to themselves – which are painted richer and brighter hues because of their experiences.
This summer, Havaianas invites you to celebrate life by embracing your vibrant and colorful self with the latest collection of new shades from the world’s most loved brand of flip-flops. This summer’s release of the now-ubiquitous Brazilian flip-flops features new colors for beloved Havaianas classics like Havaianas Top, Havaianas Top Mix, Havaianas Slim, Havaianas Brasil, Havaianas Brasil Logo, Havaianas Brasil Mix, and so much more the perfect companions to match every look, mood, or lifestyle as you continue to live summer every day of the year.

Soaking in the Summer State of Mind
Havaianas aims to celebrate different facets of individuality with its latest summer collection. Each color in the Summer 2013 collection encourages people to live life in full color both inside and out by embodying certain attributes that make each and every person unique. Aside from classic White and Black, other stunning colors such as Amazonia, Marine Blue, Fuchsia and Lime Green are perfect for expressing your inner self through comfortable, and simple yet stylish flip-flops.
Havaianas believes that summer is not just a season – it is a state of mind that allows you to live freely and expressively, by embracing the many millions of colors that create the canvas of our lives. With the many styles and colors on offer, it allows you to make a strong or subtle fashion statement whether you’re stepping out to do groceries, digging your feet into the sand on a sunny beach or getting ready for a laid-back dinner or glamorous night on the town, there is a pair of Havaianas that is perfect for everybody, every day and every occasion.  Whatever your mood, you can always count on Havaianas to be your constant style companion this summer, because you deserve to live a colorful and exuberant life.

So this summer, live life in full Havaianas colors and express your colorful self both inside and out by grabbing a new pair of Havaianas in any of its exciting new colors!
Experience the summer vibe that never goes out of style with the world’s favorite rubber flip-flops brand, Havaianas. Now my foolish boat is leaning broken lovelorn on your rocks

Vintage one-piece, fur vest stolen from Carla

As already previously (and shamefully) admitted, I am probably the most inconsistent blogger-being ever created. A big part of my now crumbling pile of new-year's resolutions was that I would post more regularly, and I won't even bother trying to come up with a good excuse for my impossible laziness.. I have just been too caught up in my life. Which in my world, means, I have been holing myself up in my bat cave, refusing to deal with all things that make me uncomfortable, and denying myself reality.

Alas, after a little weekend escape into a private island towards the Pacific, I am back with an almost embarrassing amount of backlogs in my inbox.. These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago, when Inez and I decided that life is boring and that we must now find other ways to keep ourselves entertained in the most adult fashion we can manage. A.k.a. I bring over something resembling something that grows in bushes, smear on as much liquid liner as my eyelid can manage to host and we start clicking away in the confines of her 4 walls until I can pose no more. Et voila.

Of course I take it you too wear your swimsuits out in public, covered only by a flimsy fur vest.

Naturally.

So come on honey cut yourself to pieces, come on honey give yourself completely

[ wearing YUMINUM Go Go Dolly bikini in fruity ]

As a sign of protest, I will write the most un-christmas of all posts. The season of love and gift-giving has triggered only my yearly gag-reflex sensitivity, and my little personal hang-ups have been flaring up like there is no tomorrow. Which, given the "end-of-world" predictions, just leaves me shrugging and wallowing in whatevers.

Following a recent exceptionally harrowing fever, and an extended trip to the island I call home, days of self-imposed detox and lots and lots of sleep, I felt emotionally drained and surprisingly nostalgic and anti-social. I am like a lost baby bear constantly fighting off the un-ignorable desire to fall into a permanent winter slumber.. all this amplified by the news that my entire family will be spending the holidays in the snow, while I, yet again, will me missing in action. (cue ghastly violin music)

So I might not have snow this winter, but baby bear has new bikinis to play with, a kitten who has seemingly decided that she also wants to learn how to yoga and a hard drive full of new movies. Which on the other hand, might not be as great as it sounds.. Blake Lively's bad acting stopped me from completing "Savages" - and I normally go geeky over all things Oliver Stone. Oh, what am I talking about, the holidays suck big massive Christmas balls.

I'm gonna hit the ground running and go shopping. Retail therapy, be good to me..

LEE Night Skins

with fellow fash bloggers Verniece and Tin ♥
[wearing Forever 21 striped mini dress, my favorite vintage plaid shirt & B-Club thigh high boots]

A loyal denim fan, it was a no brainer that my ever-so unpredictable schedule was going to have to be cleared for a dinner hosted by my favorite denim brand, LEE Jeans. The Night Skins series promised me exactly what I had been searching for, the most essential party-all-night-long kinda jeans. As a VIP host for one of the busiest clubs in town, I prefer being dressed in more low-key pieces on my nights off - and because my "nights off" have nothing to do with staying in and behaving myself, I can only sheepishly conclude that (as you have probably guessed) - this can only mean my prancing around the club scene as a more grunged up version of myself.

The dinner was absolutely fab and the presentation straight to the point and uncomplicated, just like every denim line should, if you ask me. It was fun to get back to "blogger behavior" - shaking hands, meeting new blog friends and being reminded that people DO read my unstable word vomit and appreciate the way I flaunt my narcissism.

Excuse me, while I write Santa a little denim wish-list...

Now, if only I could figure out a way to make my derrière look as perfect as the model's did in them, I'd be a pretty happy camper. hahha

Thank you my fabulous loverrr Earl Semitara for the invitation. Me love you long time!

My dearest readers - PS: I haven't forgotten you guys, and yes, I promise to absolutely blog more! Pinkie promise ♥

Apologies to all the unanswered emails! I have been so caught up in the now that I have had no time to breathe, let alone sleep. I just got back from Morocco a few days ago after 4 months of falling in love with the country and have been fighting my jetlag and heartaches with my boys Jose & Jack.. 5 days in Boracay should restore me to my better self and then I promise I will try to wake up my half-dead braincells by writing more. For more constant updates, follow me on Instagram [renegadelovers] and Tumblr [renegadeloverrr.tumblr.com].

Also, I finally have a Facebook page for the blog:
Show me some lovin' ♥

And distance is braille and all that entails

Photos by Inez Moro

Hiiiiiiiiiiii

Yes. I'm the worst blogger ever, I know.
So I have finally moved away. I arrived in Morocco last week, and had no time in between settling in, a quickie trip to Marrakech and starting my new job. Supermarkets are exciting again, because I cant read most of the labels, crossing roads is like an adventure in itself and learning how to drive stick in French, when you can't speak French, is proving to be tricky, and also hilarious.

Morocco is a beautiful country, there is lots to see, and my new job in tourism now allows me to do a little exploring. I have a stack of books to read, and photos to go through.. it's overwhelming, but exciting at the same time!

When you start to feel stuck and unhappy with your life, it usually means only one thing.. boredom. That and throw in a little heartbreak and confusion and its a recipe made to create self destructive little lemmings, and a lemming I refuse to be. It's funny what a little plane ride and a change of environment can achieve for our sanity. Once you learn how to put yourself first, and the things you know you deserve for yourself become non-negotiable, you know you are starting to wake up.

And when you clear your mind and throw the things that weigh you down out the door, you make more space for the things that truly matter. And space for yourself, above all.

Will you still love me tomorrow?

My first mobile post! My can't-live-without MacBook is at the shop do I have to grin and bear, meaning figure out a way to scratch this itch via iPhone. In a few days I'm getting on a plane and flying into wonderland.. I am a bag of nerves!!!

Today I shot a beauty editorial for Bridal Magazine. I am so not the 'bride type' and I'm honestly almost convinced I don't posess the bride gene. Nonetheless, working with my pseudo sister Erica is always something I'll get out of bed for. Especially because she knows me so well, that she already had the flowers ready to be inserted into my hairdo. And while the other two models were giggly and in love, I couldn't help but remark that maybe I could be "cynical bride", just to restore some balance in the world. Of course Erica, knowing me all too well, couldn't hide a giggle. But I think "grumpy bride" would have worked just as well.

www.boomsason.com

Since Valentines Day has done nothing more than depress me and make me more homesick today, I am switching gears and have decided to talk about more important things instead.. like fashion. My girl Boom just launched her new website for her brandspankin' new clothing line.. and I would be lying if I told you I wasn't feeling the most agressive urge to shop. My favorite pieces include the Carine jacket in white, the Delevigne cape, the Yurco shorts and the Kate shirt.. which are absolute staples in a modern girl's closet. I can't wait to get my hands on some of the pieces!
