"Who are all these people??"

denim shorts - thrifted and DIY-ed, tank - arizona jeans, scarf - F21, ring - from India

Its mayhem, I tell you! Went out last night for le warmup and to meet half the gang.. and all of a sudden the bar was fullll of these people I had never seen before in my entire life. Les tourists. The bar was packed and there were what looked like 14 year olds on a field trip gone wrong, girls kissing and such.. hmm. Made me feel real old and a little disgusted, cause I have a 13 year old baby sis myself. Tsk tsk. I wanted to call these kids parents and have them picked up! haha.

Hey Jude - Juice Bar - Hey Jude with a quick stop at Bom Bom, where the two afro daddies were scaring the local kids and sippin their drinks through masks. When we got back to jude it was just so packed that the locals hid in the dj's booth and started bit by bit roping off the are so no rowdy's would come in and steal our spot. It was ridiculously hot, pretty much like an oven, and the crazy kids were schwitzig and drunk, so I proceeded to climb up on two chairs and dance my night away like that. Oh and there a was a bubble machine, that pretty much made my night.

Tonight is the night and I am typing this in record speed and hoping I dont have any spelling mistakes, for I do not have any time to correct them, no I dont siree. Im off to my friend's house to get made up and prepare for more crazy drunk behavin'. So I shall see y'all tomorrow!

Happy Halloweenie!

Courtyard Bistro

dress - bugis village

Dinner at Courtyard Bistro. More Tequila. Costume stress. Sleepless night.

Today was super hectic, together with two girlfriends, I arranged costumes for 20 people. They arrived today, but got done last minute. I damn near lost my mind. But tonight its done, everyone's ready for tomorrow's Halloween Ball. Im exhausted, but heading out for drinks anyway. Warm up, we call it.

Tomorrow is gonna be CRAZYYY. Cant wait to post pictures of our costumes!

PS: I got the dress at some stall at Bugis Village in Singapore. It cost me 10 sing dollars, and after I sent it to the wash, it came back missing buttons, and halfway through the night, one of the straps broke. Hmm. Ah, at least it lasted one night.

Thrilla in Manila

Sooo.. I know some of you are not very fond of the Cobrasnake and his crew, but I couldn't help busting out photos from his last trip to Manila, and selected the few photos he took of friends of mine. They are no Peaches Geldof, or Cory Kennedy, but they sure party just as hard, and umm they don't look dirty!
These were taken at the Rogue Magazine Anniversary at the BMW showroom, where they turned a studio into the venue for the party. Steve Aoki was on the decks, and was jumping around the place as you can see in the photos. As far as I know, this was his 3rd [?] trip to the Islands, and he has accumulated quite a few fans over here. So there, this is what Cobrasnake looks like, Filipino edition.

Saving the best for last, here is my lovely friend who I introduced to you guys here, and who [due to my constant coaxing] is going to start a blog of her own soon.

"Light as a feather, stiff as a board."

In the name of Halloween, I dug up photos of one of my favorite little horrors of all time. Well, its not really a horror movie per se, but It works. I also remembered their preppy goth wardrobe style, and that inspired me even more so to do a post about them. When the movie came out, I was going through a punk/goth phase. I only wanted to wear black eye liner and combat boots and my jeans were always ripped and torn. My favorite character [of course!] was Fairuza Balk's Nancy, who was semi psychotic and insecure at the same time, and who hid behind her eye makeup and dark red lips. But only after uploading the photos did I realize that a lot of the trends we see in fashion today, were used in this movie.

Combat boots - check.
Knee high socks - check.
Stripes - check.
Plaid - check.
Blazers - check.
Oversized cardigans - check.
Heavy jewellry - check.
Leather jacket - check.

I must say, Im pretty impressed by this little list.

And just for kicks, here are some fun quotes from the movie The Craft.

Bonnie: The almanac says today will bring an arrival or something.
Nancy: Yeah, wonderful. I'm getting my rag.
Bonnie: A new wholeness and with it a new balance, earth air, fire, water... maybe it's our fourth!
Nancy: We don't need a fourth.
Bonnie: Nancy, We need someone to call the corners; North, South, East, and West.
Rochelle: Four would make a circle
Nancy: Maybe she could be our fourth?
[motions to female security guard]
Nancy: I love a woman in uniform!

Chris: Why didn't you answer the phone?
Sarah: It's three in the morning Chris.
Chris: Oh. Yeah, I guess that's a good reason... hey, you know, I was thinking we should move in together.
Sarah: I don't think I'm ready for that level of commitment.
Chris: Oh. Sarah, I can't stop thinking about you. I can't eat, I can't sleep. I think I love you. I've never loved anyone before... well, except for my mom and this little puppy I had when I was little...

Driver: Watch out for the weirdos, girls.
Nancy: We are the weirdos, mister.

Hmm, I really should download the movie again!
