DIM MAK Manila x Steve Aoki x The Cobrasnake

tube top worn as skirt, banana republic pocket tee, thrifted and DIYed bleached denim vest, KT LegLove patterened tights, vintage boots & renegadelovers studded bag

  • We stopped by PFW for the Shanon Pamaong show, which was amazing.. he has crazy patterning techniques I swear.. but after that one show, my ADD kicked in big time and I'm pretty sure I was staring at the lights for the rest of the shows. I'm just not good at sitting still unless its in front of a sewing machine.
  • Note to self: pancakes for dinner and then beers = not a good idea at all! The next day was hellish.
  • Exchanges of the night
Dane: Hey! (climbing up on the ledge to greet Steve Aoki)
Steve: Hey! You're in my twitter!
Dane: (jaw drops, mumbling)
~
*FLASH!*
Dane (to cobrasnake) : Did you just take a photo of me picking my nose?
*FLASH!*
~
Paula (reacting to the music & lights) : Theyre taking me.. oohh.. are you coming??
Dane (confused, tugging at boot) : Huh?? Wait.. wait for me!!!
  • Steve Aoki is unbelievable. If I had to use one word to describe him, it would be infectious, next to super nice. I think I was quite taken with him and swear I am a little bit in love with his aura.. well ok a lot in love then.
  • After lots and lots of beers, we still made it to some sports bar where we watched some football game, champions league if I'm not mistaken? All I remember is the green on the screen was giving my dizzy spells and I almost fell asleep on the pool table. But I totally give myself an A for effort. A+ even.
How many beers did you crazy kids have this weekend?

Thank you, come again!

PFW Holiday ~ John Herrera

He is insanely talented. The details on his garments are incredible.. he really knows his craft.

He also is my Design Instructor. I am totally learning from the best.

My favorite piece is the grey and fuscia mini dress, insaaaaanely gorgeous.

PFW #1

rainbow bazaar dress, zara ankle boots, vintage chanel bag

This is what raiding Paula's closet looks like. In my rush to get to her place, I forgot.. well, everything.

Im not your usual "will attend fashion week blah blah" type.. my ADD for one gets in the way most of the time. But on this night I had fun meeting and greeting. I was introduced to the lovely Editor-In-Chief of the very young Stella Magazine, and am looking forward to working with her in the future.. exciting. My favorite collection of the night was Jerome Ang's.. very flashy and in your face, over-embellished and just fabulous. When I find worthy photos, a post is definitely gonna happen.

I must say, my all black classic ensemble isn't at all "Me" but it was fun while it lasted. Kinda like dressing up in Mom's clothes.. we all love that don't we?

I know I do

dane

PS: My photos are piling up, and I still have the ones from the Steve Aoki night.. Paula looks completely trashed in our photo with the cobrasnake, its pretty damn hilarious.

Shipwrecked

topshop sailor shorts, topman striped tee (boyfriend's), vintage boots, scarf and necklace, renegadelovers bag (self made), forever 21 sunnies

I just came from Day 1 of Philippine fashion week, but have yet to upload the photos. Lets just say, tomorrow I am going to dress more like myself.. because what I wore today was just so not "me". You'll see.

These photos were taken the day before I got my bangs cut. Shopping in heels isn't usually my thing.. but in these boots, anything is possible. They are quite possibly my favorite pair of shoes of the moment.

Tomorrow I am heading over to Embassy to see no other than Steve Aoki. He has been here countless times together with the Cobrasnake, but always when I'm on the island. Looks like tomorrow's gonna be quite the night.

How are you lovelies doing?

xoxo, dane

PS: That up there is the red bag I was talking about.. the one loosely inspired by one Zoe Kravitz carries.. I kinda love it already. xxxx

LAX Grand Opening

Mango skinny jeans, topshop bow tank, forever21 shoes, H&M beret, renegadelovers (self made) blue studded clutch

I had absolutely no plans of going out.. but after finding out Samantha Ronson was going to be playing at the LAX opening, I had to check it out. She is tiny in person and quite attractive actually.. the club was full of ladies, behaving like groupies, it was quite the sight. Her music is mostly mashup, which is quite new to the scene here, but I liked it a lot. She later complained to Paula and I, as the three of us were in the bathroom washing our hands, about people mostly staring and not dancing as much. I think people were just starstruck and must have just forgotten how to move.. lame, I know.

My friends and I were dancing though, and my girl Max even removed her crazy red heels, at an attempt to make maneuvering around the club a tad easier. Ordering a drink was quite difficult with everyone pushing and shoving to try and catch the bartenders attention.. and getting your change was exceptionally hard given there was not much change at hand.

Somehow we made it home just as the sun was rising.. how do I always manage to do that? I swear I don't even remember what I was doing for the 6 hours I was out. Lets just say today I suffer the consequences, and came to the conclusion that I must be getting old.. because I don't remember hangovers being this bad when I was 18..

Did you crazy kids have a crazy night out this weekend?

PS: Life just was not the same without my bangs. xxxx
